shareholder value
so tonight my ceilidh* band played for an oxfam party. well, it was a party for a variety of corporate social responsibility types - fhosted by oxfam, at a nice pub in north oxford called the Plough.
i always love seeing the corporate sector mix with the charity sector folks.
in the end, we're all people, trying to have a good time, a couple beers, and maybe even get laid (or get home in time to tuck the kids in to bed).
what i realized, quite a few years ago now - because i read some article in the WSJ, and directly because i worked in the corporate sector for many years - is that:
Positive Change will come when stakeholder value is truly aligned with CSR.
*hm, funny how i;ve got to the point where the spelling of this word is easy. it took nearly a year i think.
